Committees

Syracuse State Local 013 has 8 standing committees;

Audit , Budget, Safety & Health, Events, Grievance, Newsletter/Website, Political Action and Membership.

Four of the committees are mandated by the Statewide By-laws and four are part of our Local By-laws.

Please take a moment to look over the brief committee descriptions and see if there is something you would be interested in helping with. The amount of time you spend with us is up to you and your schedule. We are not asking for a lifelong commitment, just an hour or a few hours of your time is all it takes.

All committees have an officer as an advisor to help and a meal is always provided. Meetings are scheduled by the advisor and the committee chair and are held as necessary. Members are also entitled receive mileage to and from the meeting.

Also, please feel free to contact us and let us know what you are interested in and the types of things and community events you would like to see us involved in. This is your union and your opinion is important to us.
